Final Reflection

What are some of the most important things you learned throughout this experience?

First off, I have learned to be a better photographer. Emily has taught me lots of new camera and photo editing tricks. I know how to light up areas of a room, set up a tripod and use it, as well as basic Photoshop. Secondly, I learned how to gain clients and network with other people. During the two weeks, I went to a couple BNI meetings with Emily, which is a business networking company. There I met other local business owners and got to learn how to do a pitch. Lastly, I learned how to make a website. I got to update and fix Emily's website on Wix- I leaned how to create pages and pop-ups. I learned building your own website is very important.

How have you grown throughout this experience?

I have grown into a better photographer, networker, stager, photo editor, website creator, and time manager.

What will you do with what you learned?

My future goals have become more clear through this experience. Watching Emily run her own photography business has inspired me to try and run my own business someday. I hope that I can take this knowledge and apply it to my future learning in college as well as career.

What comes next?

Next year I will be attending the University of Minnesota, College of Design. I have yet to figure out what exactly I want to major in, but it will probably be in interior design or fashion design. The skills I have learned through the Capstone experience will help me with whatever major I decide to go in at the College of Design.
